The aim of this study was to explore the effect of a dose reduction of metformin on the efficacy of metformin hydrochloride for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and to determine whether the same dose of metformin could be used in combination with metformin to treat diabetes mellitus patients with insulin resistance.
